LG G8 ThinQ press image leaks again, this time with stock wallpaper

LG has already revealed that the G8 ThinQ will launch at the MWC on February 24. Some of the features include a ToF camera on the front, sound-on-display technology & probably touch-free gesture controls. It is already known how the phone looks like, thanks to the press image that leaked via XDA Developers. That press image showed the phone in Silver color, and today, Evan Blass posted the official press image of the phone in Black.

So, most of the design remains the same as last year’s G7 ThinQ including a notch on the front, dual rear cameras, a noticeable bottom chin, rear-facing fingerprint scanner, etc. The placement of the buttons and the ports is also the same. So, this year also, LG is not going to ditch the headphone jack. And since there is a headphone jack, the phone also has the Quad DAC.

There are dual cameras on the rear as well as on the front. On the front, there is a secondary ToF camera for better Face recognition and better depth information when taking portrait selfies. This new press image once again shows that the LG G8 ThinQ doesn’t have an earpiece on the front. So, the phone does have the ‘Sound on Display’ technology which means the sound comes out of the display in the form of vibrations.

And as mentioned in the title, here is one of the stock wallpapers that come with the LG G8 ThinQ.

The full spec sheet of the LG G8 ThinQ is not yet known so stay tuned for that. As mentioned in the beginning, the launch will happen on February 24 at the MWC.
