LG is one of those smartphone companies that doesn’t roll out Android updates for its phones at speed compared to Google or Nokia, but eventually, its phones get those. Last month, LG started rolling out the Android Pie beta for the LG G7 ThinQ in Korea and finally, the company has officially announced when the rollout of stable version is going to happen.
The LG G7 ThinQ Android Pie update will start rolling out in Q1 2019, but the rollout is going to happen in Korea first. So, looking at the track record of LG’s updates, expect the stable Android Pie update for your LG G7 ThinQ to roll out a month or two after the rollout happens in Korea.
To sign up from the preview of the update, users in South Korea can use the ‘Quick Help’ app on the LG G7 ThinQ. In the app, users will find a banner related to the preview of LG OS. LG’s custom skin is a pretty heavy skin on top of Android and also comes with a ton of features that we miss on stock Android. Features like New Gesture button, adaptive brightness, improved battery saving etc. are the highlight of the LG G7 ThinQ Android Pie Update.
