LG G6+ Announced With More Memory, New Colors & B&O Headphones

We all know that right now, the G6 is LG’s best phone of this year. There were some speculations that the company might launch the G6 Plus very soon and finally, the LG G6+ has been announced officially and there isn’t much difference when we compare the regular G6 with the G6+. Along with this new announcement, a new firmware update for the G6 is being rolled out that will add a face recognition feature and interestingly, this works even if the phone is locked. Along with this, the update also improves the battery performance with the new feature called ‘Low Power Consumption’ that collects data at all times from both sensors and wireless connections to improve the user experience with third party applications, all the while using very little battery power and reducing latency.

LG G6+ – WHAT’S NEW?

So, talking about the LG G6+, there is not much difference when we compare it with the regular G6. The internal storage has been increased from 64GB to 128GB, and that’s it. The RAM remains the same, the screen size is same, the cameras are the same and so is the battery. Also, two new colors have been announced for the G6+ that include Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold. Now, the company has applied a ‘lenticular film’ that will show different hues as per the reflection of light.

Lastly, the G G6+ comes bundled with a pair of premium B&O headphones in the box packaging. Now, there is no information regarding the total price of the G6+ with these headphones, but we hope to get the detail of the pricing pretty soon.

Juno Cho, the president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications, said –

LG’s G series has always been about offering innovation and technology that we believe will appeal to as many customers as possible. By expanding the G6 lineup with differentiating features and colors, consumers will have even more options to consider when shopping for a new smartphone.
