LG G4 Nougat Update arrives, but only in South Korea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

LG G4, as the name indicates, is a device launched two years back and it was a great phone from LG with premium build materials, design and great specs on paper. The camera of the phone was spectacular at that time, and Techadvisor mentioned it as the best camera smartphone of 2015 alongside the Galaxy S6. But, don’t forget the issues that this device had. We are talking about the Random rebooting, and boot loops, unresponsive touchscreen, Lag, Bluetooth issue, Overheating, Slow Charging and the list goes on.

Android Nougat released 11 months ago in 2016, and till now, there was no update for LG G4 users. But today, the LG G4 Nougat Update arrived. It was said months back that the Android Nougat update for LG G4 will arrive in Q3 2017 and it has arrived. But, here is the catch.Right now, the LG G4 Nougat Update is available only for the users in South Korea, i.e., the home country of LG. Also, the users in South Korea can get the update only via the LG Bridge app.

The KDZ images of the Nougat update for LG G4 are only available for the variants with model numbers F500S, F500L, or F500K.

Thanks to XDA, we now have the KDZ images of the Nougat update for LG G4, but these are only available for the variants with model numbers F500S, F500L, or F500K. So, if you have got any other variant of the LG G4, keep in mind that these images cannot be flashed onto other variants of the phone. Now, we are not sure if the update is arriving in other countries like the US also or not, but we can hope so. The T-Mobile’s LG V10 got the update two months after it was rolled out in South Korea and we might see the same thing this time.
