Lenovo Legion 3 Pro & Elite official renders & spec sheet leaks

The phone is internally codenamed 'Diablo'

A couple of weeks ago, Lenovo gave us our first look at the design of its Y90 gaming phone. As we know, this is the successor to the last year’s Legion 2 Pro (also known as Legion Phone Duel 2 in the global market). Today, Evan Blass shared the official images of the phone on Twitter along with the spec sheet, and we also got to know that there are two versions of the phone. One is named the Legion Phone 3 Elite, whereas the other is named Legion Phone 3 Pro. So, the ‘Duel’ branding will no longer be used for the Legion gaming phone.

In terms of the color options, the official images reveal that there are six color variants in total. The Legion Phone 3 Pro comes in three colors with a leather-like back, whereas the Legion Phone 3 Elite has a normal glass back with a matte finish and all the lines and texts printed on it, something the Pro version does not have.

We can see those two cooling fans underneath that module in the center, which has the Legion logo and the dual-camera setup as well. The two vents for airflow are placed on the right side.

On the front, there is the same design as last year except for one change, and that’s the placement of the selfie camera. This time, the selfie shooter is on the front itself, instead of on the side in a pop-up mechanism. There are stereo front-firing speakers.

The thickness is almost 10mm, and there are not two, four, or six but rather eight virtual buttons. There are four ultrasonic shoulder triggers, two rear capacitive triggers, and two onscreen pressure-sensitive triggers. There are two X-axis Haptic vibration motors, four microphones, and LEDs on the front and back.

In terms of the specs, both the Pro & Elite version are similar. We are looking at a large 6.92-inch AMOLED that is tuned by PixelWorks and has up to 144Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch-sampling rate. The peak brightness of this panel is 1300 nits. Under the hood, there is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Now, the Legion Phone 3 Elite comes in12GB RAM and 256GB storage option only, but the Legion Phone 3 Pro comes with up to 18GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Both phones have a dual-cell battery, with each cell having a 2,800mAh capacity which results in a total battery capacity of 5,600mAh. The dual USB Type-C ports are still present on this year’s models, and there is support for up to 68W fast charging. Finally, there are two cameras on the back where the primary shooter has a 64MP sensor, whereas the ultrawide shooter has a 13MP sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP camera on the front.

So, it seems like Lenovo is doing the same thing as Asus because, as we know, last year, we got the ROG Phone 5 Pro and also the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, with the main difference being the different rear design and also the Ultimate variant having up to 18GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Well, we do not know at what price these phones are launching in the global market but looking at these leaks, we will surely know the pricing soon. The launch is happening this quarter only, so it is happening in February or March.
