Lava is on a roll lately in the Indian market as the brand has launched some great value-for-money phones in budget and mid-range price segments. The Lava Agni 2 was launched in May with an impressive spec sheet, including a curved 120Hz AMOLED display, a Dimensity 7050 chipset, a 4,700mAh battery, and 66W charging, all for around ₹20,000.

One of the highlights of the recent Lava phones has been the design since even the budget Lava phones feature a premium glass back. Today, Lava launched a new budget phone in India, the Lava Yuva 2. The introductory price starts at ₹6,999, and at this price, this phone has an impressive spec sheet.

Design-wise, Lava Yuva 2 has a glass back, making the phone feel premium. The camera module has a dual camera setup with an LED flash. The phone has a waterdrop notch and a big bottom bezel on the front. A USB Type-C port is on the bottom, alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack and a speaker grill. The fingerprint scanner is on the side, doubling as a power button.

Under the hood, Lava Yuva 2 has the UNISOC T606 chipset, a 12nm-based chip with an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 1.6GHz. There is 3GB RAM and 64GB UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 512GB. The battery size is 5,000mAh, and the phone supports 10W wired charging.

On the front. the Lava Yuva 2 has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The dual camera setup includes a 13MP primary and a secondary VGA camera. The selfie camera has a 5MP sensor.

The phone runs on Android 12 out of the box, which is probably the biggest con of the Lava Yuva 2 Pro. Moreover, the phone will get only one Android update. The good thing is that the phone has no bloatware or ads baked into the UI. There is also the “Anonymous & Auto call recording” feature.

Lava Yuva 2 comes in three colors – Glass Blue, Glass Green & Glass Lavender. There is only one storage option with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. The introductory price is ₹6999, and the phone can be bought from Lava’s website.
