Lava Blaze 2 5G with Dimensity 6020 launched in India
The phone has a ring light in the camera module!
November 2, 2023
Earlier this year, Lava Blaze 2 was launched in India with the Unisoc T616 chipset and a premium glass back design. It was a non-5G phone priced at ₹10,999. Today, Lava launched the 5G version of that phone, the Lava Blaze 2 5G. This is the successor to the Lava Blaze 5G, which launched last year in October with a Dimensity 700 chipset.
The phone comes with a premium glass back design and has three color options. There is a circular camera module with a dual camera setup and an LED flash. The camera module also has a blue LED right, which the company calls “Ring Light.” This can be used as a notification LED, but we don’t know whether there are other colors to choose from.
There is a hole-punch design on the front, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a single bottom-firing speaker. Since the phone has a glass back, the weight is 203g, and the thickness is 8.45mm.
Speaking of specifications, Lava Blaze 2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chip, a rebrand of the Dimensity 700, which the Lava Blaze 5G had. This 7nm chipset has an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.2GHz. The phone has 4GB or 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card.
The dual cameras on the rear include a 50MP primary sensor and a secondary VGA sensor. The second camera on the back is of no use. The selfie camera has an 8MP sensor. The display is a 6.56-inch 720p IPS LCD with up to 90Hz refresh rate. The battery is 5,000mAh and supports 18W fast charging.
Finally, Android 13 runs out of the box, and Lava has promised an Android 14 update for the device.
Lava Blaze 2 comes in three colors – Glass Lavender, Glass Black, and Glass Blue. Here is the pricing –
4GB + 64GB – ₹9,999
6GB + 128GB – ₹10,999
The sale starts on November 9, and the device will be available on Amazon, Lava’s official website, and offline stores.
