Teaser confirms the launch of Nokia 9 PureView & a phone with punch-hole display

Yesterday, Juho Sarvikas announced on Twitter that HMD Global would launch some new Nokia products on February 24 event at the MWC. We know that Nokia 9 PureView is launching that day, but it looks like there is one more interesting phone that Nokia will be launching. It is going to be the first smartphone from Nokia featuring the punch-hole display.

HMD Global now shared the teasers for the event, and these teasers reconfirm the Nokia 9 launch and reveal the launch of a phone with a hole-punch screen.

As you can see in the images above, the right image shows the rear camera setup of the Nokia 9 PureView. The image only shows the four cameras and the flash, but we know that there is one more camera on the back along with the Laser AF. But we aren’t interesting much in the Nokia 9 in this article. It’s the phone with a hole-punch screen that’s more interesting.

As the left image shows, the outline of the phone reveals a hole-punch screen which means the front camera is placed in a small cutout in the display on the top left. This is similar to the design of Honor V20.

Nokia 8.1 Plus has a hole-punch display

Now, the CAD renders of the Nokia 8.1 Plus were shared by OnLeaks a couple of weeks back, and that phone has a hole-punch screen. But, there are reports that the Nokia 6.2 also has the same design and is launching on February 24.

Whatever the name is, it is now confirmed that Nokia is indeed launching a phone with a hole-punch display on February 24 event. Let’s hope to see some more surprises from the company at the MWC.
