Design-wise, the iQOO Z9s features a curved display on the front, versus a flat panel on the Z9. The camera module design is also different, and the phone has a ring LED flash on the back. iQOO says this is the slimmest phone with a curved display in its price segment at 7.49mm. The body is made of plastic, and the phone features an IP64 certification.

Under the hood, the iQOO Z9s has the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. This SOC is built on the 4nm process and has an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.5GHz. On the AnTuTu benchmark, this chipset scores almost 700,000 points. The RAM is LPDDR4X, and there is UFS 2.2 storage.
