Two months ago, iQOO Z7 was launched in the Indian market, featuring the Dimensity 920 chipset. The phone was launched at ₹18,999, making it one of the best phones under ₹20,000. Today, iQOO launched the Z7s, a toned-down version of the Z7 which, surprisingly, starts at ₹18,999, the same price at which iQOO Z7 was launched. The price of iQOO Z7 now starts at ₹21,999, so to fill the gap, iQOO launched this new device, the Z7s.
Design-wise, iQOO Z7s looks the same as the Z7. There are no design differences, and even the color options are the same. The phone has an under-display fingerprint sensor, a notch for the selfie camera, flat sides, a dual camera setup, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The similarities do not end here. The iQOO Z7s has the same display as the Z7, a 6.38-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED with 1300 nits peak brightness and 90Hz refresh rate. The camera setup is the same, too – a 64MP primary shooter with OIS + a 2MP macro camera + a 16MP selfie camera. The charging speed is the same at 44W.
As for the differences, iQOO Z7s has a smaller battery at 4,500mAh (vs. 5,000mAh) and comes with the less powerful Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, compared to Dimensity 920.
Finally, Android 13 runs out of the box with FuntouchOS 13 on top.
iQOO Z7s comes in two colors, and here is the pricing for the Indian market –
- 6GB + 128GB – ₹18,999
- 8GB + 128GB – ₹19,999
The phone is available via Amazon and iQOO India’s website.
