iQOO Z7i is the newest budget 5G phone from the brand that launched in the Chinese market today. The main USP of this phone is the Dimensity 6020 chipset. This is the first phone to feature this chip from MediaTek but do not get confused by the name. While it sounds like some high-end SOC by MediaTek, it is not much different than the Dimensity 700.
If you compare the specifications of Dimensity 700 & 6020, you’ll find that both are 7nm SOCs with the same CPU, the same GPU, and the same camera & storage support. The only new features that the Dimensity 6020 brings include 120Hz display support and 5G carrier aggregation.
There is a 6.51-inch display on the front & it is a 720p LCD with a 60Hz refresh rate. This means the 120Hz display support of Dimensity 6020 is not being utilized here since the display does not even have high refresh-rate support on the Z7i. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery & supports 15W charging. The dual camera setup on the rear includes a 13MP primary sensor & a 2MP macro sensor. There is a 5MP camera for selfies.
Finally, iQOO Z7i runs on OriginOS Ocean based on Android 13.
