Recently, the iQOO Z7 was launched in the Indian market, powered by the Dimensity 920 chipset. Today, iQOO launched a phone with the same name in China, but while the name is the same, the phone differs from its Indian counterpart in many ways.

iQOO Z7 China

Design-wise, the front is different since the Chinese model has a hole punch cutout, whereas the Indian model has a notch.

The most significant difference is in the performance. iQOO Z7 in China is powered by the Snapdragon 782G SOC, one of Qualcomm’s most powerful mid-range chipsets. The phone also has a bigger 5,000mAh battery (vs. 4,500mAh) and faster 120W fast charging (vs. 44W).

But not all the features are better than the Indian version. For example, the Z7 in China has a 6.64-inch 120Hz LCD, whereas the Indian version has a 6.38-inch 90Hz AMOLED. And because of an LCD, the fingerprint scanner is on the side of the Chinese version, whereas it is under the display for the Indian version.

The camera setup remains identical. So there is a 64MP primary sensor with OIS support, & a 2MP macro camera. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor.

And finally, Android 13 runs out of the box with OriginOS Ocean instead of FuntouchOS.

Here is the pricing for China –

  • 8GB + 128GB – ¥1599 (~$232)
  • 8GB + 256GB – ¥1799 (~$261)
  • 12GB + 256GB – ¥1999 (~$290)
