iQOO Z6 with Snapdragon 695 5G launched in India

It is the same phone as the Vivo T1 5G

Release Date
March 16, 2022
Starting Price
₹15,499

In September last year, iQOO Z5 launched in the Indian market, and it was the first phone in its price segment offering LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It featured a Snapdragon 778G 5G SOC, a 120Hz display, 44W charging, and more for a starting price of ₹23,990. The iQOO Z6 is now official in India, and while the name suggests that it is a successor to Z5, that’s not the case. This is the same phone as the Vivo T1 5G, which launched in India last month. Now, this is not the first time we have seen two brands launching the same phone. In fact, Poco and Redmi keep doing this again and again.

iQOO Z6

Well, apart from the branding, you won’t find any major difference between the Z6 and the T1. The text on the camera module is present on the right of the camera module in the case of iQOO, whereas, in the case of Vivo, it is below the camera module. But that is a minor difference. There is the same flat frame, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a display with a waterdrop notch on the front, and a Type-C port on the bottom with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

iQOO Z6

Just like the design, the specifications are the same. iQOO Z6 has a 6.58-inch LCD with a Full-HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The chip powering this phone is the Snapdragon 695 5G, and there is up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The battery size is 5,000mAh, and there is support for 18W charging. For better cooling, there is a 5-layer liquid cooling system.

In terms of cameras, you get a primary 50MP sensor on the rear that is paired with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP sensor.

Finally, Android 12 runs out of the box with FunTouch OS 12 on top.

iQOO Z6

iQOO Z6 comes in two colors named Dynamo Black and Chromatic Blue. It is funny that the company didn’t even bother to offer different color options than Vivo T1 5G. At least, that is something Poco does with its rebadged Redmi devices.

Anyways, here is the pricing for India –

  • 4GB + 128GB – ₹15,499
  • 6GB + 128GB – ₹16,999
  • 8GB + 128GB – ₹17,999

You also get a discount of ₹2000 on using HDFC Cards during the initial sales, so that brings the starting price down to ₹13,499! The sale starts on the 22nd of March.
