iQOO Z5 Starting Price in India
₹23,990

iQOO Z5 is now official in the Indian market, and it is the successor to iQOO Z3, which launched in June this year with Snapdragon 768G for under 20,000 rupees. Speaking of the upgrades that the Z5 brings, you get a significant boost in the performance and a new and refreshed design. Apart from these, there isn’t a huge change in the specs, whether we talk about the display or the cameras. Pricing-wise, the phone starts at ₹23,990, and this is excellent pricing for a phone with Snapdragon 778G chipset.

Design-wise, the iQOO Z5 comes with an upgraded look, and we no longer have that old-school notch on the front. Instead, the device has a hole-punch design this time, something we expect to see in every mid-range phone right now. The camera module on the back is also redesigned, and there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone does not miss out on the 3.5mm headphone jack as it is present on the top. The phone also has a stereo speaker setup.

In terms of the specs, iQOO Z5 has a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ LCD on the front with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch-sampling rate. It is a shame that the company did not go for an AMOLED panel this time as well. But, while the company did not upgrade the display, the performance is massively upgraded this time because not only this phone has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G SOC, but also a combination of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, something that’s first for any phone under ₹25,000 in India right now.

This time, there is also a bigger 5,000mAh battery over the 4,400mAh cell of iQOO Z3. But, the charging speed is lower this time at 44W compared to iQOO Z3’s 55W charging.

The camera setup remains unchanged with that triple camera system, including a primary 64MP sensor, a secondary 8MP ultrawide, and a third 2MP macro. For selfies, you get a 16MP camera on the front. There is also Liquid cooling tech inside, and iQOO says that it can reduce the phone’s temperature by about 3 degrees and that of the CPU junction by about 12-degrees. For better haptics, there is also a Z-axis linear motor.

Finally, speaking of the pricing and availability, the iQOO Z5 comes in two colors in India, named Mystic Space and Arctic Dawn. There are two storage options, and here is the pricing –

  • 8GB + 128GB – ₹23,990
  • 12GB + 256GB – ₹26,990

The sale begins on the 3rd of October, and you will be able to grab the device from iQOO India’s official website or Amazon.
