The much-talked-about iQOO Z3 is now official in the Indian market, more than two months after it first launched in China. It is a mid-range phone from the brand which launched as India’s first Snapdragon 768G-powered device. Just as we got to know recently, the starting price of this phone is Rs 19,990 in India, making it an excellent choice for those who want a great 5G phone but don’t want to spend above Rs 20,000.
Just like most of the phones in the budget and mid-range segment these days, the iQOO Z3 has a polycarbonate build, so there isn’t anything premium about the build quality. The fingerprint scanner is there on the right side, which doubles as the power button, and on the front, there is the old-school waterdrop notch. We see companies going for notches instead of hole-punch cutouts in the budget or mid-range segment when there is an AMOLED panel instead of an LCD, but that’s not the case with the Z3. Anyways, all the necessary ports are present on this phone, so there is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the button alongside the Type-C port and the single speaker grill. And that’s the only speaker on this phone, so there isn’t any stereo speaker setup.
On the front, iQOO Z3 has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch-sampling rate, and Full-HD+ resolution. The chipset under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G 5G which is paired with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. For better thermals, there is also a Five-layer liquid cooling mechanism.
The battery size is 4,400mAh, and the phone supports 55W fast charging. In the box, however, you get a 66W adapter, so that’s interesting. Finally, FunTouch OS 11.1 based Android 11 runs out of the box.
In India, iQOO Z3 comes in two colors named Ace Black and Cyber Blue. Here is the pricing –
- 6GB + 128GB – Rs 19,990
- 8GB + 128GB – Rs 20,990
- 8GB + 256GB – Rs 22,990
Sales in the Indian market have already begun, and you can buy the phone via Amazon India or the official iQOO India’s website.
