iQOO launched two new high-end smartphones in China today – iQOO Neo 9S Pro & iQOO Neo 9S Pro+. iQOO went with the same design language as the Neo 9 series, so it’s the internals that are upgraded. Since these are “Neo” series smartphones, the main focus is on the price-to-performance ratio. The Neo 9S Pro starts at ¥2799, or around $385, and the Neo 9S Pro+ at ¥2999, or around $410. So, there is not a huge difference in the pricing of the two phones.

Under the hood, the phone has the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, compared to a Dimensity 9300 inside the iQOO Neo 9 Pro. The phone also has the Q1 chip that is used for visual enhancements. There is LPDDR5X RAM with UFS 4.0 storage. The phone packs a 5,160mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
For better thermals, the phone has the largest vapor chamber among all the iQOO smartphones at 6043mm².
On the front, the Neo 9S Pro has a 6.78-inch 144Hz 1.5K 8T LTPO OLED display with HDR10+ support. The panel supports 2160Hz PWM dimming.

In a nutshell, the iQOO Neo 9S Pro gets an upgraded chipset, and that’s the only upgrade over the iQOO Neo 9 Pro. Still, it is a good thing that the phone starts at a lower price than the launch price of the Neo 9 Pro.
