iQOO Neo 6 is now official in China, and as the name suggests, this is the successor to iQOO Neo 5, which launched as the iQOO 7 in India. The Neo 6 is a high-end flagship with the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC. The price starts at ¥2799, which translates to around $439, and that’s a ridiculously good price for a phone powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC. Apart from the SOC, the phone also features 80W fast charging, a 120Hz AMOLED, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.
Design-wise, the iQOO Neo 6 comes in three colors, and two of the three colors have a leather-like finish on the rear. The camera module design is similar to the iQOO 9 series, with the only difference being that it is half the size of the camera module of iQOO 9 and 9 Pro. The camera module has a triple camera setup in it along with the “Neo” branding. There is a flat panel on the front with a hole punch in the center. There are stereo speakers.
iQOO Neo 6 has a 6.62-inch 120Hz AMOLED with a Full-HD+ resolution and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The peak brightness of this panel is 1300 nits, and the contrast ratio is 6,000,000:1. The panel also has two pressure-sensitive areas, so those can be helpful while playing games. The battery size is 4,700mAH, and there is support for 80W fast charging. For better cooling, there is a large cooling system under the hood, and the heat dissipation area is 46662mm square.
Finally, the camera setup on the rear includes a primary 64MP sensor with OIS, a 12MP sensor for ultrawide shots, and a 2MP sensor for B&W shots. There is a 16MP selfie shooter. OriginOS Ocean runs out of the box, which is based on Android 12.
