In October, the iQOO 13 was launched in China with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a massive 6,150mAh battery, and a starting price of ¥3999 (~$550). Today, the brand launched the smartphone in the Indian market as the successor to the iQOO 12. The iQOO 12 was launched in India in December last year for a starting price of ₹52,999 and it was the first phone in India with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC.

iQOO 13

Design-wise, the iQOO 13 does not look much different from the iQOO 12. The phone has a flat-frame design and there is a flat display on the front. The camera module looks identical like its predecessor but it has an RGB light in it and the LED flash is also placed inside the camera module this time. The phone is IP68 and IP69-certified, has a glass back, stereo speakers, and a metal frame.

The performance is one of the highlights of the iQOO 13. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on TSMC’s 3nm process. The phone has LPDDR5X RAM (9600Mbps) and UFS 4.1 storage. It is worth mentioning that the 12GB RAM variant has UFS 4.0 storage, and it will be upgraded to UFS 4.1 via a software update. The 16GB variant has UFS 4.1 storage out of the box. Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Snapdragon 8 Elite has up to 45% faster CPU, and 40% faster GPU. Even with these performance gains, the newer chip is more power efficient.

The iQOO 12 had a pretty big 5,000mAh battery last year, but the iQOO 13 goes one step further and has a massive 6,000mAh battery. There is 120W fast wired charging, but the phone lacks wireless charging support.

The display on the front is a 6.82-inch Quad-HD+BOE Q10 8T LTPO OLED with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, Full-Range Luminance High-Frequency Dimming at 2592Hz, 6500 nits local peak brightness, and 1800 nits global peak brightness. The display uses the “Circular Polarization Technology,” which reduces eye strain and enhances the viewing experience. The display has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner underneath.

Speaking of cameras, the iQOO 13 has a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera uses a 1/1.56″ 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS support and an f/1.88 lens. The ultrawide camera uses a 1/2.76″ 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor. The third camera is a telephoto camera with a 1/2.93″ Sony IMX816 sensor, and 2x optical zoom. This telephoto camera is a downgrade from the iQOO 12, which had a 3x periscope telephoto camera last year. The selfie shooter has a 32MP sensor.

Finally, the iQOO 13 runs on Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 out of the box.

Here is the pricing for the Indian market –

  • 12GB + 256GB – ₹54,999
  • 16GB + 512GB – ₹59,999
