The iQOO 12 series was launched in November last year with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. In December, the iQOO 12 was launched in the Indian market as the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 device in India. The phone was launched at a pretty aggressive price tag of ₹52,999, compared to ₹59,999 for the iQOO 11 in 2022. Now, the brand is preparing to launch the iQOO 13 in the Indian market, and as per the latest report, the launch is happening in December.
The key specifications of the phone were also shared by SmartPrix.
iQOO 13 is launching with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, and this phone is expected to score over 3 Million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. Recently, we got to know the specifications of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The SOC features the new “Oryon” CPU that can go up to 4.23GHz. The chipset is built on the TSMC’s 3nm process and has an Adreno 830 GPU.
The iQOO 13 features a 6.7-inch Quad-HD+ flat AMOLED display from BOE with up to 144Hz refresh rate. There is up to 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. The battery is one of the highlights of this device, as it packs a massive 6,150mAh battery with 100W wired charging. There is an IP68 certification, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a metal frame, and a glass back.
As for the cameras, the iQOO 13 has a triple camera setup on the back. All three cameras on the rear feature a 50MP sensor. The report suggests a telephoto camera with a 2x optical zoom, which, if true, means the telephoto camera is downgraded from last year’s 3x periscope telephoto camera on the iQOO 12. The selfie camera has a 32MP sensor.
Well, that’s all we know for now. The pricing is not yet confirmed, but the expected starting price in the Indian market is around ₹55,000.
