India's first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone!

iQOO 11 was the first phone to launch with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in the Indian market. It launched in India in January at ₹59,999. The company is launching the iQOO 12 series in China on November 7, and both the iQOO 12 & 12 Pro are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC. Today, iQOO announced the launch date of the vanilla model for the Indian market.

The iQOO 12 is set to launch in India on November 12, making it the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone in the Indian market.

Recently, the specifications of both the 12 & 12 Pro were leaked on Weibo, and as per that leak, iQOO 12 has a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate and 3000 nits peak brightness. There is a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging, stereo speakers, an optical under-display fingerprint scanner, and IP64 certification.

The triple camera setup on the rear includes a primary 50MP 1/1.3-inch OmniVision OV50H sensor with OIS, a periscope camera with a 64MP OV64B sensor, and an ultrawide camera with a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor. The periscope camera reportedly offers 3x Optical Zoom.

The phone runs on Android 14 out of the box.

There is no information on the pricing yet, but iQOO likes to price its phones quite aggressively, so we can expect the iQOO 12 to launch in India at around ₹60,000.
