Instagram is testing a new tool called “Scenes,” which lets users add AR effects and music clips in the background, adjust their speed, and even remix other’s videos. Well, that sounds like Tik-Tok’s “duet” feature. However, it’s not the first time that Instagram is trying to copy features from other Apps. In the past, Instagram copied Snapchat’s Stories feature that was also introduced in facebook and WhatsApp.
Well, all thanks to Jane Manchun Wong, a Software engineer, who recently tweeted about the new Insta feature. She also said that other people would only able to remix your “scenes” if your account is public. Moreover, you are given music, video speed, timer, AR Effect, etc. to edit each clip & this feature is previously known as Clips.
How will Scenes work?
This new tool will allow you to make a remix of other users’ scene if their account is public. Users can add your own music to the scene, change playback sped, add AR stickers, and can add a timer to each clip before you post it as your own story.
For now, there is no such information about when this feature will land on all the devices. It’s worth noting that a similar unreleased feature called clips was spotted within the app previously.
