In September last year, the Infinix Zero 30 5G was launched in India with a 50MP selfie camera, a 144Hz curved AMOLED display, and a Dimensity 8020 chipset. Today, the brand launched its successor in the Indian market, the Infinix Zero 40 5G. The Zero 30 5G was launched last year at ₹23,999, but the starting price for the Zero 40 5G has increased to ₹27,999.
Design-wise, we are looking at a 7.9mm body thickness and 195g weight. The phone comes in three colors, all three with a dual-tone design on the rear. There are stereo speakers tuned by JBL, an IR blaster, and NFC. The phone is IP54-rated.
Under the hood, the Infinix Zero 40 5G has the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset, built on the 4nm process. There is LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1 storage. The battery is 5,000mAh, and the phone supports 45W fast wired and 20W fast wireless charging. The phone also supports bypass charging, which directs the power to the device instead of the battery.
The display is a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ curved AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1300 nits peak brightness. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 5, and the fingerprint sensor is placed under the display.
As for the cameras, the phone has a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 108MP sensor with OIS, and the ultrawide camera has a 50MP sensor. The third camera has a 2MP sensor. For selfies, the phone uses a 50MP sensor. Both the rear and front cameras can shoot 4K videos at 60fps.
The phone runs on Android 14-based XOS 14.5 out of the box, and the company has promised two Android OS updates.
The phone comes in three colors – Rock Black, Moving Titanium, and Violet Garden.
