Huawei is soon bringing its mid-ranger, the Y9 2019, to the Indian market and in case you don’t know, the Huawei Y9 2019 was launched in China in October 2018. So, after two months, we are getting this phone in India. It will be an Amazon Exclusive smartphone since the teaser page is already live on Amazon India’s official website.

Huawei doesn’t focus much on budget and mid-range market since Honor is already there. Still, we see a few mid-rangers from Huawei every year apart from the flagships and premium phones. The Huawei Y9 2019 has a big 6.5-inch display with a notch on top. It is not a waterdrop notch and is similar to the one on Honor 8X. The display has a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone has an 82.8% screen-to-body ratio.

The Kirin 710 processor powers the phone and it is a pretty solid processor for budget midrange phones. It is not as good as the Snapdragon 660 or the Helio P70 but still does the job. The Huawei Y9 2019 also has GPU Turbo which helps in getting better performance from the GPU while gaming. There is 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage.

Apart from a big display, there is also a big battery underneath. So, the Y9 2019 has a 4,000mAh battery that, as expected, doesn’t support the fast charging. Also, there is still a micro USB port. The cameras are not that good on paper. There is a primary 13MP rear camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front too, there are dual cameras. So, there is a primary 16MP sensor and a 2MP depth sensor on the front.

Finally, we have no information about the pricing for the Indian market. Talking about the price in China, the phone launched as Enjoy 9 Plus in China and the price starts at 1,499 Yuan or Rs 15,000 for the 4GB + 64GB variant. To stay in the competition, Huawei will have to launch the phone in India at a price under Rs 15,000.
