Huawei P30 & P30 Pro specifications leaked ahead of the official launch

Huawei is all set to launch the P30 Series on March 26th, and today, the spec sheet of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro leaked in full via WinFuture. The spec sheet reveals that both the phones have top of the line specs with the Huawei P30 Pro being a phone from the company with the best camera hardware that we have seen on far.

Before talking about the specs, it is worth mentioning that the Huawei P20 Pro was the first phone to launch with triple rear cameras and some impressive camera features. The same was then seen with the Mate 20 Pro. With the Huawei P30 Pro, Huawei is going to improve the camera performance to a greater extent.

HUAWEI P30 SPECIFICATIONS

The Huawei P30 is the successor to the P20 of 2018. The Huawei P20 was one of the most underrated phones of last year since everyone kept talking about the ‘Pro’ version and not the regular one. The P30 has a waterdrop notch on the front and minimal bezels all around. On the rear, there is a triple camera setup placed vertically with LEICA branding. The LED flash and the Laser AF are placed below the triple camera module.

Since there is no rear-facing fingerprint scanner, the P20 has an in-display fingerprint scanner like its bigger brother. There is a 6.1-inch OLED Full-HD+ display (2340 x 1080), and the phone is powered by the octa-core Kirin 980 processor. There is 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. So, the phone comes in a single storage option.

Coming to the camera setup, the Huawei P30 has a primary 40MP F/1.8 camera, a secondary 16MP Wide-Angle F/2.2 camera and a third 8MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is a single 32MP camera.

There is a 3,650mAH battery underneath that features Huawei Super Charge and the phone has not only a USB Type-C port but also the 3.5mm headphone jack. So, it’s good to see that the company kept the headphone jack, at least on the regular P30. The P30 is IP68 rated and comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box with EMUI 9.1.

HUAWEI P30 PRO SPECIFICATIONS

The Huawei P20 Pro was a camera beast when it launched, and the same is going to be the case with the P30 Pro as its main USP is the camera. The design remains similar to the P30 from the front except for the fact that the P30 Pro’s display is curved on both sides. It is a bigger 6.47-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution (2340 x 1080). The chipset is the same, i.e., a 7nm Kirin 980 processor. There is 8GB RAM and 128/256/512GB internal storage.

Coming to that Quad Camera setup on the rear, the Huawei P30 Pro has a main 40MP f/1.6 camera with OIS, a second Wide-Angle 20MP f/2.2 camera, a third 8MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture & 10X Hybrid Zoom, and finally a fourth Time Of Flight sensor. The front camera remains the same as the P30, i.e., a single 32MP camera. So, the camera setup on paper is impressive when it comes to the Huawei P30 Pro.

There is a huge 4,200mAh battery with the Huawei SuperCharge. It doesn’t have a headphone jack like its smaller brother. It has an IP68 rating, nano microSD card support, NFC and in-display fingerprint sensor.

Finally, the Huawei P30 will launch in three colors – Black, Twilight and Aurora Blue. On the other hand, the Huawei P30 Pro will launch in Black, Twilight, Aurora Blue and Sunrise Red.
