Huawei Nova 8 series design revealed, specs leaked as well

There is an Oval-shaped camera module on the rear

Huawei usually launches two Nova series devices every year, so we get one series in the first half & the other series in the 2nd half. The Nova 7 series was unveiled in April & now, Huawei is preparing to launch the Nova 8 series. Huawei has already announced that on the 23rd of December, it will be launching the Nova 8 series in China. Well today, an image surfaced on Weibo that shows the design of Huawei Nova 8 series from the front & the rear & also mentioned some key highlights of the phones.

As we can see, the Huawei Nova 8 series has a curved display with dual punch-hole selfie cameras, but the star of the show is that oval-shaped camera module on the rear. Among all the circular and rectangular camera module designs, it is refreshing to see a slightly different design. There are four cameras in the camera module where the primary camera is surrounded by the “AI Quad Camera” & some other text. Upon closer inspection, we can see that it says 64MP, which means there is a 64 Megapixel primary sensor.

So that’s all about the design. The image also revealed a couple of features such as a 120Hz display & 66W Fast Charging.

The specs of the Huawei Nova 8 & Nova 8 Pro have already leaked & the above image was shared by Digital Chat Station recently. As it says, the Nova 8 has a 90Hz curved OLED panel, a 64 Megapixel Quad camera setup on the rear (64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP), a 32 Megapixel single selfie camera, 66W Fast Charging, Kirin 985 chipset, 3G Glass Back & 7.64mm thickness. The Nova 8 Pro has a 120Hz curved OLED panel, 32 Megapixel + 16 Megapixel dual selfie cameras, Kirin 985 SOC with dual-mode 5G, 66W Fast Charging & 64 Megapixel Quad camera setup that is the same as on the vanilla Nova 8.

Both the phones are coming in two storage options – 8GB + 128GB & 8GB + 256GB.

So based on these leaked specs, it can be said that the only difference between the Huawei Nova 8 & Nova 8 Pro is the selfie camera count & the refresh-rate of the screen. There might be some other differences as well, such as the battery size but those are the details we don’t know yet.
