Huawei Enjoy 20 & Enjoy 20 Plus with Dimensity 720 are Official

In June this year, Huawei launched the Enjoy 20 Pro smartphone featuring the Dimensity 800 5G SOC & today, the company launched the rest of the two phones of the Enjoy 20 series in China. The Huawei Enjoy 20 & Enjoy 20 Plus are the latest budget offerings from the brand & both these are powered by the Dimensity 720 SOC, which is a 5G chipset from MediaTek.

Now, while the two phones have the same SOC, both are miles apart from each other when it comes to the design.

HUAWEI ENJOY 20 – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS

Design-wise, Enjoy 20 looks like yet another budget phone from a brand since there isn’t anything unique in terms of the design. It has a display with a tiny dewdrop notch on top & a triple camera setup on the back placed inside a square-shaped camera housing. The fingerprint scanner is on the right side & the 3.5mm headphone jack is on the bottom.

Also, while Huawei doesn’t mention the build material, we won’t be surprised if it is polycarbonate.

The display on the front is a 6.6-inch HD+ panel (1600 x 720 pixels) & under the hood, there is MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset paired with either 4GB or 6GB RAM & 128GB internal storage.

The triple camera setup on the back includes a primary 13 Megapixel shooter with f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 5 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, & a 2 Megapixel Macro camera. On the front, there is an 8 Megapixel camera in that notch. Again, nothing so special about the camera setup.

Finally, the Huawei Enjoy 20 has a 5,000mAH battery, but there is no fast charging support since the phone comes with standard 10W charging. EMUI 10.1, based on Android 10, runs out of the box with no Google Services.

HUAWEI ENJOY 20 PLUS – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS

Talking about the design, the Enjoy 20 Plus is entirely different from the Enjoy 20 since there is a Full-Screen design, which means no notch or a punch-hole cutout. The selfie camera, therefore, sits in a pop-up mechanism. On the back as well, the design is entirely different. It seems like Huawei took the camera setup design of Mate 30 Series & slapped it on the back of Enjoy 20 Plus.

The 3.5mm headphone jack is placed on the top & the Type-C port on the bottom.

There is a 6.63-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD featuring a 90Hz refresh rate. Since there is an LCD, the fingerprint scanner is on the right. Under the hood, there is the same Dimensity 720 SOC as in the case of Enjoy 20, but this time, the phone offers up to 8GB RAM.

Enjoy 20 Plus has a 4,200mAH battery with 40W Fast Charging support.

The triple camera setup includes a primary 48 Megapixel shooter with f/1.8 aperture lens, a secondary 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, & a third 2 Megapixel macro camera. There is a 16 Megapixel camera for selfies. Finally, EMUI 10.1, based on Android 10, runs out of the box.
