HTC was so popular back in the day that in 2011, it was the third-largest smartphone brand. But if we talk about HTC in 2023, the brand’s market share is now considered non-existent.
Still, HTC has not given up on the smartphone business. Some budget phones have already launched this year under the “Wildfire” series, and now, HTC has teased the launch of a new phone. This phone will launch globally and is reportedly named the HTC U23 Pro 5G.
The launch date is May 18, and one of the highlights will be support for Viverse, HTC’s metaverse platform. While the company has now shared any details, we already know what the phone looks like and the key specifications, thanks to a recent leak.
HTC U23 Pro 5G has an AMOLED display, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SOC, a 108MP primary camera with OIS, a 4,600mAh battery, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is also rumored that the phone supports wireless charging, which is interesting.
