HTC Desire 20 Pro launching on June 16 in Taiwan

A couple of months back, we reported that the mid-range HTC Desire 20 Pro is in the works & is launching in the coming months. Well, it looks like we finally know when the company is going to launch it. On its Taiwanese website, HTC revealed the launch date of June 16 for its upcoming smartphone, which is definitely the Desire 20 Pro if we look at the teaser.

We already know that the Desire 20 Pro has a design similar to the OnePlus 8 on the front, which means there is a punch-hole display on the top left corner. That’s exactly what the official teaser reveals. Also, we know that the phone has a camera setup on the rear with a design similar to that of Mi 10’s camera setup. This means there are vertically placed cameras on the top left & again, that’s what the teaser shows.

HTC Desire 20 Pro Design

Evan Blass has already shared the schematic of the device & as we can see, the HTC Desire 20 Pro has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, which means there is an LCD panel on the front. That’s not a surprise since it is expected to be a budget phone with Snapdragon 6-series chipset. There seem to be Quad cameras on the rear.

Well, we cannot say if HTC has any plans to launch the Desire 20 Pro outside the Taiwanese market. HTC is almost out of the smartphone market & if the company wants to make a comeback, it should price its phones pretty aggressively since there is too much competition now.
