
In December last year, the Honor GT was launched in China with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a big 5,300mAh battery. The phone was launched at a pretty aggressive starting price of ¥2199, or around $300. Today, the brand launched the upgraded version in China named the Honor GT Pro. There are some notable upgrades, and the price is significantly higher than the Honor GT.
Design-wise, the Honor GT Pro has a different-looking camera module than the Honor GT. The camera module is placed in the middle and has a square-ish shape, versus a rectangular camera module in the top left corner on the Honor GT. The camera module has a triple camera setup, versus a dual camera setup on the Honor GT. The phone has a metal frame, and there is a flat display on the front with Rhino Glass protection. The phone is IP68 and IP69-certified. There are stereo speakers.
Under the hood, the Honor GT Pro has the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The CPU is clocked at up to 4.47GHz, and the GPU goes up to 1.2GHz. The battery is 7,200mAh, and there is 90W fast wired charging.
There is a 6.78-inch flat 8T LTPO OLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate, 6000 nits peak brightness, and 4320Hz PWM dimming. The phone has an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner.
In terms of cameras, the Honor GT Pro has three cameras on the rear. The primary camera has a 1/1.56″ 50MP sensor with OIS and an f/1.95 aperture lens. The ultrawide camera has a 50MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens. The third camera has a telephoto lens with a 3x optical zoom and a 50MP sensor with OIS support. Finally, the front camera has a 50MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens. The phone can shoot 4K 60fps videos from both the front and rear cameras.
Finally, the Honor GT Pro runs on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0.
