Almost two years back, Honor 8 was launched in India as a mid-range phone with a premium design and a great price tag. In January this year, Honor said that the phone wouldn’t get Android Oreo update due to some hardware and software limitations. But, the phone got Android Oreo in China by the end of June, which gave us a hint that the Indian users will be getting the update soon. Finally, the company has started rolling out EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo, for the Honor 8 in India.

The update, with a size of 2.33GB, brings all the latest EMUI 8.0 features to the phone. In case the update is now there for your phone, wait a day or two, and it will eventually arrive. Your phone will get updated to EMUI 8.0.0.512 from the EMUI 5.0.3.
We hope Honor will roll out Android Oreo for the Honor 8 in other countries as well.
