In July, the Honor 200 was launched in the Indian market with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, a quad-curved display, and an impressive camera setup. The phone was launched at a starting price of ₹34,999. Today, the brand launched the Honor 200 Lite in India. Unlike the Honor 200, which was a premium mid-range phone, the Honor 200 Lite is a budget phone in the sub-20K segment.
Design-wise, there is no resemblance to the Honor 200. The Honor 200 Lite has a flat-frame design with a flat display and a flat back. There is a triple camera setup on the back in the top left corner. The phone is quite slim at 6.78mm and weighs 166g. This is also due to a smaller battery than most of the phones in this price segment. The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery and supports 35W charging. There is a mono speaker, and the fingerprint scanner is on the side.
Under the hood, the phone has the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, one of the weaker SOCs that you can get at this price. We have seen this chipset in some phones priced around ₹10,000 in India, so at ₹17,999, it is the biggest downside of this phone. There is 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
The display is one of the highlights of this phone. It has a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits peak brightness, and an impressive 93.7% screen-to-body ratio. The panel supports 3240Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and 4096-level brightness adjustment. The phone has the SGS Five-start Drop-resistance certification.
Speaking of cameras, there are three on the back. The primary camera has a 108MP sensor with OIS support, and the ultrawide camera has a 5MP sensor. The third camera has a 2MP sensor with a macro lens. For selfies, the phone has a 50MP sensor.
Finally, the phone runs on Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0. It will get two Android OS updates.
The color options are Starry Blue, Cyan Lake, and Midnight Black. The phone comes in a single configuration – 8GB + 256GB. The price is ₹17,999.
