In August, a couple of live images of the Google Pixel 9a were leaked online, revealing the design of the phone. The images seemingly showed a prototype of the phone, as evident by the logo on the rear. Well now, we have the renders of the Pixel 9a, courtesy of OnLeaks and AndroidHeadlines. These renders confirm the design that we saw in August.
As we can see, gone is the camera bar on the back, which used to be an identity of Google Pixel devices. The Pixel 9a has a dual camera setup on the rear in the top left corner with an LED flash. The phone has the same rounded form factor as the Google Pixel 9 series and even gets the same flat-frame design, the first for an “a” series Pixel.
The phone has a USB Type-C port on the bottom with the SIM card tray on one side and the speaker grill on the other. The power button and the volume rockers are on the right side. The frame is made of metal, as evident by the antenna lines.
There are no details of the specifications yet, but the phone is expected to launch with the Tensor G4 chipset next year.
