Last year’s Pixel devices are still among the best Android smartphones that you can buy right now. It was 2016 when Google ditched its much popular ‘Nexus’ lineup of smartphones and started a new series of phones that are ‘Made by Google.’ With last year’s Pixel and Pixel XL, there were mixed reactions from the Android lovers. No, there wasn’t any issue regarding the software, but the design was not that great. Some users didn’t like that empty chin on the front and the odd glass and metal design on the back. Anyways, 2017 is turning out to be the year of great phones, and we have already seen the Galaxy S8 and S8+, which are undoubtedly the most beautiful devices of this year.
LG IS MANUFACTURING THE TAIMEN
Anyways, 2017 is turning out to be the year of great phones, and we have already seen the Galaxy S8 and S8+, which are undoubtedly the most beautiful devices of this year. It seems 2017 is going to be the year of smartphones with bezel-less displays and we are expecting the same with the upcoming Google Pixel 2 devices that are codenamed Taimen and Walleye.
Yes, there was a device with the codename ‘Muskie, but Google canceled it, and now, we are gonna see only two Pixel phones. 9to5Google reports that the bigger of the two Pixel 2 phones, i.e., Taimen, will be manufactured by LG which made the Nexus 5.
Today, we got some rumored specifications of the both Pixel 2 phones via XDA-Developers, and as per XDA, the source has got its hands on with at least one of the upcoming Google Pixel 2 devices. AND ONE MORE INTERESTING THING…
As per another information via XDA, the pre-production software used the name ‘Nexus Imprint’ for the fingerprint scanner of the Taimen whereas it used the name ‘Pixel Imprint’ for the Walleye. There is still not information why is it so but hopefully, we are going to know about this thing pretty soon.
Well, what are your views about these rumored specifications? Do you think Google has taken a good step by not using the Dual Camera setup for its premium phones of this year? Do let us know in the comments section below.
