Essential Phone goes out of stock as the successor is in the works

Essential is a smartphone company started by Anny Rubin, the Co-Founder of Android, last year and the very first product we saw from it was the Essential Phone or the Essential PH-1 (PH-one). It got mixed reviews as the phone had a bezel-less design, modular ability, & high-end specs, but not the best price. It also had an average camera, no waterproof rating, no headphone jack, and some software issues in the beginning.

Still, when the price dropped down to under $350 this year, it became one of the best choices for a solid smartphone. Now, the Essential phone has gone out of stock so you can no longer buy one. The company has no plans to bring in the new stock as the production of the phone is stopped. If you think that there won’t be any more phones from Essential, then you’re wrong. The company said that they are working on their next mobile product.

One of the spokespeople from Essential, when asked about the phone being out of stock, said –

We are sold out of Essential Phone on essential.com and won’t be adding any new inventory. We are now hard at work on our next mobile product and will continue to sell accessories and provide speedy software updates and customer support to our existing community.

So yes, it’s time to say Goodbye to the Essential Phone. If you have one, then, as the company promised, you’ll keep receiving software updates and the support. It is reported that the company is working on an AI-based phone that means users will be interacting using voice commands and there are going to be some intelligent features like responding to emails or messages etc.
