Coolpad is the Chinese smartphone maker that is known for affordable phones with great specifications. At the CES 2020, every brand is showcasing something & Coolpad unveiled a 5G smartphone that will cost just under $400!
The Coolpad Legacy 5G is going to be a mid-range 5G smartphone with some impressive features for the price like Snapdragon 765 SOC, 48 Megapixel rear camera, 4,000mAh battery & more.
While the Legacy 5G doesn’t have an eye-catchy Full-Screen design like a lot of phones in the mid-range segment, it does have a design that makes it look good. On the front, the display has a Waterdrop notch on top & a big chin on the bottom. On the rear, there is a dual-camera setup & the fingerprint scanner. There is a Gradient back panel, so the top portion is Blue while the bottom one has a Golden paint job.
Talking about the specifications, the Coolpad Legacy 5G features a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ LCD panel with HDR support. Under the hood, there is reportedly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SOC that comes with an Integrated X52 5G Modem. There is 4GB RAM & 64GB UFS 2.1 storage (expandable).
There are dual cameras on the back that include a primary 48 Megapixel unit & a secondary 8 Megapixel camera (Most likely a Wide-Angle lens). On the front, there is a 16MP shooter for selfies. The phone has a 4,000mAh battery & supports 18W Fast Charging via USB Type-C port.
Coolpad said that this phone would be a part for Coolpad’s Legacy family of 5G devices & would come at a price under $400, which is impressive! There is no information about the markets where it would launch.
