CMF Phone 2 Pro camera specifications officially confirmed

There is a telephoto camera!

The CMF Phone 1 was launched in July last year, and it was the first smartphone under Nothing’s sub-brand CMF. The brand is now all set to launch its second smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro. Yes, we are getting a “Pro” model this year. The official launch is on the 28th of April, and the company has now officially revealed the camera specifications of the phone, confirming some previous reports.

The CMF Phone 1 had a pretty okay-ish camera setup, as it had only one usable camera out of the two cameras on the rear. The secondary camera had a 2MP depth sensor.

But that’s not the case with the CMF Phone 2 Pro. It has a solid camera setup on paper. The phone has three cameras on the rear. The primary camera has a 1/1.57-inch 50MP sensor, which, as per Nothing, is the largest sensor for the primary camera in this segment. The ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor. Finally, the phone has a third telephoto camera with a 50MP sensor and 2x optical zoom. Nothing says this is the first phone with a telephoto camera in its segment. So on paper, this is a perfect triple camera setup where we get a wide, an ultrawide, and a telephoto camera.

The company has already revealed that the CMF Phone 2 Pro has the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, versus Dimensity 7300 in the CMF Phone 1. The difference? Well, the brand claims up to 10% faster CPU and 5% faster GPU than the Dimensity 7300 in CMF Phone 1. The chipset has MediaTek’s 6th generation NPU with an AI computing power of up to 4.8 TOPS.

The phone will be slim and lightweight. The company has already announced that the phone will ship with an adapter in the box (at least in India), which was not the case with the CMF Phone 1.

The phone is reported to feature the same 5,000mAh battery as its predecessor and 33W fast charging. There is a 120Hz flat OLED display on the front. Finally, the phone is launching with Android 15-based NothingOS.

Well, the specifications of the CMF Phone 2 Pro are pretty impressive if it launches under ₹20,000 in India. The phone will offer a good balance of performance, camera, and software.
