Black Shark 4, starting at $499, can now be pre-ordered globally
No word from the brand on the availability of Pro model!
Over a month ago, the Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro went official in the Chinese market as the latest gaming phones with the vanilla model starting at 2,499 Yuan or an equivalent of $385. Well, now, the company has made the Black Shark 4 global as the pre-orders began on April 28th. We don’t yet know whether the Pro model is also coming to the global market or not. Anyways, the starting price of the phone for the global market is $499, and it is worth mentioning that the base variant has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage as opposed to what the Chinese market gets, i.e., 6GB + 128GB.
Black Shark 4 has a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED panel by Samsung with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 720Hz touch-sampling rate. There is support for MEMC as well. Under the hood, it gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SOC paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. There is a 4,500mAh battery and support for up to 120W fast charging! To give you a perspective of how fast it can charge the battery, the 120W adapter is capable of fully charging the 4,500mAh cell from 0 to 100% in under 15 minutes! Do note that the phone comes with a 67W adapter in the box.
The cameras are not something that gaming phones are known for, and the Black Shark 4 is no exception. There are three cameras on the back that include a primary 48 Megapixel shooter with an f/1.8 aperture lens, an 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 5 Megapixel camera which is most probably for macro photos.
Speaking of some gaming-centric features, there is “Sandwich” liquid cooling which the company explains like – “two liquid cooling units sandwich internal components for a 30% overall increase in heat dissipation.”. There are Stereo speakers tuned in partnership with DTS and Cirrus Logic Technology. Just like the recently launched Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, there are pop-up trigger buttons on the side.
Finally, speaking of the global pricing, the Black Shark 4 will be available in these European markets – Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.
