The Asus Zenfone 8 was the first phone from the brand with a compact form factor and flagship specifications. But one of the most significant downsides of that phone was the design. Even though it was a high-end flagship, the design looked plain, giving a budget phone vibe. Last year, Asus Zenfone 9 was launched with the same compact form factor but a much better-looking design. The phone came in some nice color options, and overall, it was a unique-looking device, thanks to those huge circles on the back for the two cameras.
Asus is preparing to launch the Zenfone 10, its next compact flagship phone. The Asus Zenfone 10 is launching on June 29, and while the company has shared some features already, we now have the official renders of the phone in all the colors, thanks to Evan Blass.
Asus Zenfone 10 is launching in five colors – White, Black, Blue, Green & Red. Compared to the Zenfone 9, only the green color is new now. But, if you compare the other color options side-by-side, the Zenfone 10 seems to have more punchy and vibrant choices.
Design-wise, Asus hasn’t changed much this year. The Zenfone 10 still has dual cameras and two large circular camera modules on the back. The fingerprint sensor sits on the side, and there is a flat display with a hole punch cutout on the top left corner. The phone has flat sides. The back looks cleaner than last year because Asus has reduced the text. This year, the phone just has the “Asus Zenfone” branding and the company’s logo.
There are some minor design details if you look closely. For example, tiny arrows point toward the two cameras and the “ZenTouch” text below the fingerprint sensor, along with more arrows.
While these renders do not reveal it, we expect the Zenfone 10 to feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. Because if you look at the top portion, you will notice a groove that was also present on Zenfone 9 around the headphone jack.
The full spec sheet is unknown, but Asus has revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers Zenfone 10, supports wireless charging (wasn’t on Zenfone 9), and has a 5.9-inch display (same size as last year). The Zenfone 9 had a 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabiliztion, and with the Zenfone 10, Asus is taking it one step further with the 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabiliztion 2.0.
