A week ago, we got our first look at the design of the Asus Zenfone 10, as the renders of the phone were shared by Evan Blass. The renders revealed a similar design to the last year’s Zenfone 9. Asus has already shared a couple of specifications, including a 5.9″ display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SOC & wireless charging support. But now, we have the phone’s full spec sheet, thanks to WinFuture.
Asus Zenfone 10 has a 5.9-inch AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a Full-HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is under the hood, paired with 8GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The battery is 5,000mAh, a significant upgrade over the 4,300mAh battery inside Zenfone 9. Moreover, the Zenfone 9 had great battery life, and with a bigger battery, we expect an even better battery performance in Zenfone 10.
The frame is metallic, whereas the back is plastic, the same as last year.
The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is present on the top. And with all this, the Zenfone 10 is IP68 certified for protection against water and dust. This year, Asus has also added wireless charging support to this phone, which the Zenfone 9 did not have.
As for cameras, Asus Zenfone 10 has a 200-megapixel sensor for the primary camera, and it is a Samsung sensor. We don’t know exactly which Samsung sensor it is since there are multiple 200MP sensors from Samsung – HP1, HP2, HP3, etc. The second camera is an ultrawide camera with an 8MP sensor. This sounds like a downgrade from the 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor which Zenfone 9 had for the ultrawide camera. As Asus has already revealed, the primary camera on Zenfone 10 supports 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilization 2.0.
The selfie camera has a 32MP sensor, compared to the 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor on Zenfone 9. It is worth mentioning that the Zenfone 9 could shoot 4K 30fps videos via the front camera, so we hope the same is true with Zenfone 10, otherwise, it would just be an upgrade in the megapixel count.
And well, that’s all about the Asus Zenfone 10. The starting price is expected to be $749. The phone is launching on June 29.
