Asus ROG Phone 5 to go official on the 10th of March

Asus revealed the launch date today on its website

After lots of rumors and leaks, Asus has now finally revealed when the company is launching its next gaming phone. The Asus ROG Phone 5 is set to go official on the 10th of March and the launch will take place in New York, Berlin and Taipei. Asus has skipped the ROG 4 and is launching the ROG 5 instead, maybe because the number 4 is considered an unlucky number in China. We have seen companies like OnePlus doing the same in the past for the same reason.

Anyways, while Asus didn’t reveal anything other than the launch date, we already know how the ROG Phone 5 looks like, thanks to the earlier leaks. The TENAA listing of the phone gave us a pretty good look at the design. On TENAA, the phone showed up in two variants (I005DA & I005DB), both having a slightly different rear design. ROG Phone 5 has Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 6.78-inch OLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate, and a massive 6,000mAh cell with support for 65W Fast charging.
