[UPDATE – India Launch] Asus ROG Phone 3 is officially launching on July 22

UPDATE (09/07) – ASUS ANNOUNCED THAT THE INDIA LAUNCH IS HAPPENING THE SAME DAY!

The ROG Phone 3 is launching in India on July 22nd and it will be a Flipkart Exclusive device. 


In July last year, the Asus ROG Phone 2 launched with impressive specs on paper, including Snapdragon 855+ chipset, a 6,000mAh battery, 120Hz AMOLED display, 12GB RAM and more. Now, Asus is all set to launch the 3rd iteration of ROG Phone, i.e., the Asus ROG Phone 3.

Asus has now officially announced the launch date & the launch is taking place on July 22nd. Interestingly, the ROG Phone 2, too, was unveiled on July 22nd last year.

While the company has not given us a look at the design of the ROG Phone 3, we already know how the phone looks like, thanks to the TENAA listing as well as the hands-on video.

The design is mostly the same as the ROG Phone 2, with an exception being the triple camera setup on the back. So the ROG Phone 3 gets an extra rear camera. Also, the external vent is less prominent on the ROG Phone 3, giving it a cleaner look from the back.

We also know some specs of the phone. There is an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 3.09GHz, which is either the overclocked Snapdragon 865 or the unannounced Snapdragon 865+. The Asus ROG Phone 3 has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display on the front with either 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate, a 5,800mAh battery, up to 12GB RAM & a 64 Megapixel primary rear camera.
