We had come across quite a lot of leaks about LG’s smartwatches with Android Wear 2.0 and today; Google has put a stop to all the leaks and rumors. The Android Wear v2.0 has been announced today along with the announcement of two new LG Smartwatches with the new version. They are named as LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport. The new version of Android Wear is surely a much-improved one as compared to the previous version, and in this particular article, we will be talking about the new features that Android Wear v2.0 has to offer.
WHAT’S NEW IN ANDROID WEAR 2.0?
PERSONALIZE WATCH FACES AS YOU WANT –
The very first feature that the new version offers is the ability to customize the Watch faces, and also users can add information or actions related to any app they want. You can customize the Watch face to check the stock performance, next appointment, fitness status and much more right from a glance at your wrist. There are a ton of customization options, and you can even book an Uber ride just by tapping on the Watch Face. Also, if you want different layouts at different times, just do a simple swipe, and that’s it.
BETTER WAYS TO WORK OUT
With the all new Android Wear 2.0, you have the Google Fit app pre-installed that will let you track the number of calories burnt, the distance you walked or run, the pace of your traveling or running and much more. What’s better than listening to your favorite songs while doing the exercise right from the smartwatch?
CHOOSE WHAT APPS YOUR WANT AND DOWNLOAD THEN DIRECTLY FROM YOUR SMARTWATCH-
Now, we have the Google Play Store pre-installed on the new Android Wear 2.0 that will let you download and install your favorite apps directly from your watch. You can use apps like AccuWeather, Android Pay*, Bring!, Foursquare, Google Fit, Google Messenger, Google Play Music, Lifesum, Robinhood, Runkeeper, Runtastic, Strava, Telegram, Uber and the list goes on and on.
GOOGLE ASSISTANT BUILT-IN
The super smart Google Assistant can now be accessed right from your wrist. Well, the all new Android Wear 2.0 comes with Google Assistant pre-installed, so you can ask the Google Assistant any question and get that answer without having even to touch the watch- all hands-free. Just as in Pixel devices, say ‘Ok Google’ and the Google Assistant will be there to assist you.
LET’S TALK ABOUT LG WATCH STYLE & LG WATCH SPORT
Along with the Android Wear v2.0, Google also announced the two new LG Smartwatches named LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport. As the names indicate, the LG Watch Style is made for the ‘style.’ It is thin and beautiful looking. It has a rotating power button that will let you launch Google Assitant or Scroll through the stream etc. The LG Watch Style was launched in three variants – Silver, Rose Gold, and Titanium.
On the other hand, the LG Watch Sport is a compelling smartwatch that has features like NFC, GPS, heart rate sensor, and cellular connectivity. It is available in tow colors – Titanium and Dark Blue.
