Last month, Xiaomi announced that it would launch the World’s First Smartphone with a 108MP camera sensor & it is rumoured that this could be the upcoming Mi Mix 4. While the company hasn’t revealed when the phone is launching, some new details of the phone leaked today along with the launch date. Now, these are not confirmed yet to consider all these with a pinch of salt.
As per a website, Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is launching on September 24 in China. The launch was set to happen in mid-September, but due to Huawei Mate 30 Series launch on September 19, Xiaomi decided to shift the launch date of Mix 4 by the end of the month. Moreover, on the same day, Xiaomi will present the next version of MIUI, i.e., MIUI 11.
The phone will feature Samsung’s ISOCELL 108MP camera sensor. As per a report by XDA-Developers, four Xiaomi phones will launch with a 108MP camera that are codenamed ‘Tucana’, ‘Draco’, ‘Umi’ and ‘Cmi’. The rumored rear camera setup specifications include a primary 108MP camera, a secondary 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera, & a periscope-style 12MP telephoto camera.
Just like Mi Mix 3 series, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will come in two variants – 4G & 5G. There is up to 12GB RAM & the Mi Mix 4 is going to be the first Xiaomi device to run MIUI 11 out of the box based on Android 10. Then there is a Reverse Wireless Charging feature as well. This is something that no Xiaomi flagship currently has.
While we can expect Snapdragon 855+ SOC powering the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, we might get the non-5G version with Snapdragon 855.
