Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge renders reveal the design

Interesting camera module design!

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was an interesting launch from the brand earlier this year. The phone was launched in May, and the main USP of this phone is its extremely slim design. The phone is just 5.8mm thick and weighs around 163g. And even with such a slim design, it is packing the most powerful chipset in the market, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Other highlights include a 1/1.3″ 200MP Samsung HP2 sensor for the primary rear camera (the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra), 8K 30fps + 4K 120fps video recording, a 6.7-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO AMOLED display, and more.

Next year, we will get the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge, and while there are a few months left for 2025 to end, we already have the renders of the S26 Edge, courtesy of AndroidHeadlines.

The renders reveal an interesting design. While Samsung has been doing away with the camera island on its smartphones, it is adding one back on the Galaxy S26 Edge. As we can see in the renders above, the Galaxy S26 Edge will feature a camera module that spans the entire width of the phone. There are still only two cameras on the rear, meaning no telephoto camera next year, too. The display on the front is flat, with extremely slim and symmetrical bezels. There is a flat frame.

While the Galaxy S25 Edge is already too slim at 5.8mm the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge will take it one step further. At its lowest, the thickness of the S26 Edge is going to be 5.5mm (10.8mm including the camera bump). The phone will have a 6.7-inch display, the same size as the Galaxy S25 Edge’s display. As per Ice Universe, Samsung probably went with this camera bump on the Galaxy S26 Edge due to a specific reason. The camera module is not here only for the looks. Samsung will offer a bigger battery in the Galaxy S26 Edge, and to make space for that, the brand will probably use the space under the camera module for various components.

The source also says that the Galaxy S26 Edge is coming with support for Qi2, thanks to the magnets behind that back panel.

It is widely reported that next year, we are not getting the Galaxy S26 Plus as it would be replaced by the Galaxy S26 Edge. Moreover, there are even reports of the vanilla model being renamed to Galaxy S26 Pro. So, we should see at least three phones in this series – S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra.
