A year ago, the Google Pixel 9 series was launched with the Tensor G4 chipset. With the Pixel 9 series, Google reintroduced the ‘XL’ branding and also included its foldable phone under the same series. Today, the Google Pixel 10 series was made official, and like last year, we have four new smartphones – Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

GOOGLE PIXEL 10

Google Pixel 10

Starting with the vanilla model, the design remains mostly unchanged, as the Pixel 10 still has those rounded corners and a similar-looking camera module on the rear. The biggest design change this time is the introduction of a third camera on the rear, making it the first non-Pro Google Pixel to feature three rear cameras. The phone features Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back and an aluminum frame. There is an IP68 rating, an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, triple microphones, a USB Type-C 3.2 port, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6, and NFC. The phone weighs around 204g and the thickness is 8.6mm.

Compared to the Google Pixel 9’s 4,700mAh battery, the Pixel 10 features a larger 4,970mAh battery. There is support for 30W fast wired charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging. Google has also introduced its magnetic wireless charging accessories with the Pixel 10 series, thanks to the magnets under that back panel. There is a PixelSnap Charger, a PixelSnap Ring Stand, and a PixelSnap Charger with Stand.

Under the hood, the Google Pixel 10 has the all-new Tensor G5 chipset, and it is built on TSMC’s 3nm process. There is the Titan M2 security chip, UFS 4.0 storage, and 12GB RAM. Compared to the Google Tensor G4, there is a 34% faster CPU and 60% faster AI performance. This SOC is the first to run Google’s Gemini Nano model.

Speaking of cameras, the Google Pixel 10 has three rear cameras. The primary camera has a 1/2″ 48MP sensor with OIS, Quad PD, and an f/1.7 aperture lens. The ultrawide camera has a 1/3.1″ 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens. Finally, there is a telephoto camera with a 1/3.2″ 10.8MP sensor, OIS, an f/3.1 aperture lens, and 5x optical zoom. For selfies, there is a 10.5MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens. There is also the spectral and flicker sensor on the rear and a multi-zone Laser AF sensor. It is worth mentioning that the Google Pixel 9 has a 1/2.55″ 48MP sensor for the ultrawide camera with an f/1.7 aperture lens, so the ultrawide camera on the Pixel 10 is a downgrade.

The phone supports 4K 60fps video recording via both the front and rear cameras. There is no 8K video recording support.

As for the display, the phone has a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate (no LTPO), up to 3000 nits of peak brightness, and up to 2000 nits of HDR brightness. For comparison, the Pixel 9 had a display with a 2,700 nits of peak brightness and 1,800 nits of HDR brightness.

Finally, the Google Pixel 10 runs on Android 16 out of the box and will get Android updates for the next seven years.

Here is the pricing for various markets –

  • 12GB + 256GB – $799 / €899 / £799
  • 12GB + 512GB – $899 / €999 / £899 / ₹79,999

GOOGLE PIXEL 10 PRO & PIXEL 10 PRO XL

Next up, we have the ‘Pro’ duo. The Google Pixel 10 Pro is the same as the Google Pixel 10 in terms of dimensions. The build quality and the materials used are also the same.

The display size is the same at 6.3-inches, but it has a higher 1280 x 2856 pixels resolution, a higher peak brightness of 3,300 nits, and a higher HDR brightness of 2,200 nits. This is also an LTPO panel, so the refresh rate can go as low as 1Hz. The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL has a larger 6.8-inch panel with a 1344 x 2992 pixels resolution.

Battery-wise, the Google Pixel 10 Pro has a 4870mAh battery, whereas the Pixel 10 Pro XL gets a 5,200mAh battery. The Pixel 10 Pro supports 30W wired charging, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL supports 45W wired charging.

Google Pixel 10 Pro

Speaking of cameras, both phones have three rear cameras. The primary rear camera has a 1/1.3″ 50MP sensor with Octa PD, an f/1.68 aperture lens, and OIS support. The ultrawide camera has a 1/2.55″ 48MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture lens. The periscope telephoto camera has a 1/2.55″ 48MP sensor with 5x optical zoom, an f/2.8 aperture lens, and OIS. So clearly, the Pixel 10 Pro & Pixel 10 Pro XL have a much better camera hardware than the vanilla model. The selfie camera has a 42MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens.

There is support for 8K 30fps video recording from the rear camera and 4K 60fps video recording from the selfie camera.

GOOGLE PIXEL 10 PRO FOLD

Finally, there is the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the latest foldable phone from the brand. The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold features the same Tensor G5 chipset as the rest of the Pixel 10 series. Google says it used a new high-strength hinge on this device, capable of handling 10+ years of folding. When folded, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is 10.8mm thick, and when unfolded, the thickness reduces to 5.2mm. Interestingly, this means the phone is thicker than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The phone weighs 258g.

There is a bigger 5,015mAh battery with 30W fast wired charging and Qi2-certified 15W wireless charging. There is an IP68 certification, stereo speakers, triple microphones, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold

Speaking of the displays, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold has a 6.4-inch OLED cover display with a 1080 x 2364 pixels resolution, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, up to 2,000 nits of HDR brightness and 3,000 nits of peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate (not LTPO). There is an 8-inch inner display with a 2076 x 2152 pixels resolution, LTPO technology (1-120Hz), Ultra Thin Glass, up to 1,800 nits HDR brightness, and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness.

There are three cameras on the rear. The primary rear camera has a 1/2″ 48MP sensor with OIS and an f/1.7 aperture lens. The ultrawide camera has a 1/3.4″ 10.5MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens.
