If there is one game that completely changed the mobile gaming last year, it is PUBG. After launching on PC and other platforms, PUBG Mobile was launched last year, and it took the mobile gaming by storm. In a country like India, where a majority of smartphone users love playing games, PUBG Mobile was a huge hit. In less than one year after it first launched in March 2018, the game has over 30 Million daily active users as reported in December.
Fortnite was also released for Android, but the minimum requirements include at least Snapdragon 670 processor and at least Adreno 530 GPU which is something we don’t see on any phone priced under 15,000, i.e., a price range which is the most competitive in the Indian smartphone market. One of the best things about PUBG Mobile is that it doesn’t require any high-end hardware to run smoothly. Even a phone with two-year-old Snapdragon 625 can run it with ease.
In this article, we will talk about the 5 Best Phones to play PUBG priced under Rs 10,000 in India. You may be thinking that there are hardly any phones under 10,000 that can play PUBG Mobile smoothly. But, that’s not the case. You’ll see that when we list the phones below. So, let’s start.
BEST PHONE TO PLAY PUBG UNDER (AROUND) RS 10,000
The Redmi Note 7S with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SOC is undoubtedly the best phone under Rs 10,000 for the best PUBG experience. Unlike phones like Realme 2 Pro or Zenfone Max Pro M2 that also have Snapdragon 660 at this price, the Redmi Note 7S doesn’t have an underclocked Snapdragon 660. It is clocked at 2.2GHz & this, paired with the powerful Adreno 512 GPU, means it is going to give you a superb PUBG experience.
Keep in mind that the 3GB + 32GB variant is priced under Rs 10,000 & you’ll have to spend some extra money to get more RAM & storage. But if playing PUBG is your preference, don’t worry about 3GB RAM.
MediaTek has started making some amazing chipsets for smartphones & the Helio P70 is a very powerful mid-range SOC that we see on the Realme 3 which is priced under Rs 10,000 in India. In fact, it is not behind the Snapdragon 660 & is comparable to it. Moreover, unlike Redmi Note 7S, the 4GB variant of Realme 3 is available under Rs 10,000 so that’s a plus.
In terms of the battery efficiency as well, Helio P70 is better than Snapdragon 660 since it is a 12nm SOC. Since Realme 3 has a big 4,230mAh battery, you can play PUBG continuously for a longer period of time than with Redmi Note 7S.
Realme 5 launched recently in the Indian market along with the Realme 5 Pro & it comes with the 11nm Snapdragon 665 SOC, making it the first phone under Rs 10,000 with this chip. Now, don’t get confused with the name as while it seems like it is better than Snapdragon 660 in every way, it is not better in terms of the performance.
This is because the Snapdragon 665 has high-performance cores clocked at 2.0GHz compared to 2.2GHz in case of Snapdragon 660. And yes, the Kryo 260 CPU is the same as in case of Snapdragon 660.
Now, one good thing about the Realme 5 is that it has a 5,000mAh battery which paired with an HD+ screen & 11nm SOC means you are going to get impressive battery life. So yes, this means you can play PUBG continuously for a longer time.
This is the cheapest phone on this list & so if you don’t want to spend much, this is a perfect choice. It features the MediaTek Helio P60 SOC which is a 12nm octa-core chip that offers amazing performance in the budget segment. Interestingly, it is the same SOC that powered the first Realme phone, i.e., Realme 1.
Still, it sits between the Snapdragon 636 & Snapdragon 660 in terms of the performance so yes, if you are tight on budget, then this should be your first preference. At Rs 7,999, you are getting 3GB RAM, Helio P60 SOC, 4,230mAh battery, an HD+ display with a waterdrop notch, triple card slot & gorgeous back design.
We put these two phones in the same position since both feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SOC which is underclocked at 1.9GHz. Now, you might say the Realme 2 Pro isn’t priced under Rs 10,000. Well, in almost every sale on Flipkart, it comes at under Rs 10,000 which makes it a really good phone to get.
The Zenfone Max Pro M2 is out of stock at the time we are publishing this article so if it comes in stock, this is a great phone to get, thanks to a Full-HD+ display, 5,000mAh battery, stock Android & beautiful design.
We highly recommend going for older phones like Realme 2 Pro only if they come at a very low price in sales like around Rs 8-9K. Otherwise, it would be a better choice to go for Redmi Note 7S, Realme 3, Realme 5 etc. Well, these were the 5 Best Phones to Play PUBG under Rs 10,000 in India. Do you think we missed any device?
