If there is one game that completely changed the mobile gaming last year, it is PUBG. After launching on PC and other platforms, PUBG Mobile was launched last year, and it took the mobile gaming by storm. In a country like India where a majority of smartphone users love playing games, PUBG Mobile was a huge hit. In less than one year after it first launched in March 2018, the game has over 30 Million daily active users as reported in December.
Fortnite was also released for Android, but the minimum requirements include at least Snapdragon 670 processor and at least Adreno 530 GPU which is something we don’t see on any phone priced under 15,000, i.e., a price range which is the most competitive in the Indian smartphone market. One of the best things about PUBG Mobile is that it doesn’t require any high-end hardware to run smoothly. Even a phone with two-year-old Snapdragon 625 can run it with ease.
In this article, we will talk about the 5 Best Phones to play PUBG priced around Rs 10,000 in India. You may be thinking that there are hardly any phones under 10,000 that can play PUBG Mobile smoothly. But, that’s not the case. You’ll see that when we list the phones below. So, let’s start.
BEST PHONE TO PLAY PUBG UNDER (AROUND) RS 10,000
ASUS ZENFONE MAX PRO M1 (3GB + 32GB) [IN SALE]
Currently, the cheapest Snapdragon 636-powered phone in the Indian market, the Max Pro M1’s 3GB variant is normally priced at Rs 10,499-10,999, but in the Flipkart sale, the price drops to Rs 9,999 or Rs 8,999. Just as a sale ends on Flipkart, a new one is ready with more deals, and this is the reason why we kept the 3GB variant of Max Pro M1 in this list since the price drops in every sale.
We are expecting that soon, there will be a permanent price cut for the phone by Asus. So, this is the best phone to play PUBG under Rs 10,000.
NOKIA 5.1 PLUS [IN SALE]
Another phone in the list that is priced under Rs 10,000 in the Flipkart sale only. Normally, it is priced at Rs 10,999, but the price drops to under Rs 10,000 in the Flipkart sale. The MediaTek Helio P60 is an excellent processor, the CPU performance of which lies between the Snapdragon 636 and the Snapdragon 660.
Yes, the GPU is not as good as the Adreno 509 of the Snapdragon 636, but still, this is a great chipset for running PUBG Mobile. Moreover, there is stock Android which means no bloatware and hence better overall performance.
Since we are talking about the sheer performance here, the Realme 1 is one of Best Phones to Play PUBG under Rs 10,000. The 4GB variant of the phone normally sells around Rs 10,499, and for that, you get the MediaTek Helio P60 processor which is a great chipset for gaming. Moreover, there is a Full-HD+ display, something that we rarely see at this price segment. It is weird that the company has discontinued the 3GB variant which was the best value for money phone under Rs 10,000.
At the time of posting this article, the phone is out of stock on Amazon, so we have no idea when it will come back in stock.
If you don’t want to wait for the sale on Flipkart, then the Asus Zenfone Max M2 is the phone that you should go for. With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor, there is the Adreno 506 GPU. The chipset scores 100K+ on AnTuTu benchmark that shows how good this is under a price of Rs 10,000.
The Max M2 has Stock Android, so you will get better performance while gaming. The phone also has a 4,000mAh battery, and since there is an HD+ display, the battery life is going to be great.
And the phone that you can buy if you don’t want any of the phones listed above is the Xiaomi Redmi Y2. Again, this is only because it has a Snapdragon 625 processor. We aren’t talking about other aspects like the camera, the design, etc. The Snapdragon 625, along with Adreno 506 is a good combination for playing PUBG at low settings.
There is a small battery that might be an issue with this phone, but apart from that, it is a decent phone for playing PUBG under Rs 10,000.
We will highly recommend you not to go for Snapdragon 625-powered phones in 2019 since it is an almost three-year-old processor now. Better invest in a phone with Snapdragon 630, 632, 636 or the Helio P60 if you want a phone just for gaming. So, that was a list of 5 Best Phones to play PUBG under Rs 10,000 (or around Rs 10,000) in India. If you think we missed any, then do let us know via the comments section.
