Last year, 10.or aka Tenor launched its first smartphone in India (10.or E) which was a pretty good phone, considering all the features it offered. Then, the company launched 10.or D and 10.or G, both of which were aimed at the budget and lower mid-range price segment. This year, the company failed to impress with the 10.or D2 that launched in August.
We all know that in India, the mid-range market is filled with amazing value for money phones. From Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000, you’ll find phones like the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Realme U1, Realme 2 Pro, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Poco F1 etc. 10.or might be planning to launch a smartphone in this price range soon, as the 10.or G2 was spotted on Geekbench benchmark recently.

Right now, you can get Snapdragon 660 powered phones for under Rs 15,000 in India, and that increases the competition even more. 10.or G2 is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor (as per Geekbench) and has up to 6GB RAM. If the company launches it under Rs 15,000, then this could be one of the best value for money phones at this price among other similar offerings like the Realme 2 Pro and Max Pro M2. Android 8.1.0 Oreo runs out of the box so yes, there is still no Android Pie out of the box.

One of the things that you will notice in the Geekbench listing is that the base frequency of the Snapdragon 660 is 1.61GHz. Now, phones like Realme 2 Pro and Max Pro M2 too, have an underclocked Snapdragon 660 but their Geekbench listings show the base frequency as 1.84GHz. So, does this mean the 10.or G2 has an even more underclocked Snapdragon 660? Well, we cannot confirm it at the moment so we’ll have to wait for some more leaks from trusted sources.
