Xiaomi Mi Max 3 shows up on TENAA with images & full specifications

Xiaomi’s Mi Max series includes devices with big displays and huge batteries. It is now confirmed that Xiaomi is all set to announce the Mi Max 3 soon, which is going to be the successor to last year’s Mi Max 2. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 got certified by TENAA recently, and today, different variants of the device showed up on TENAA with images along with the full specifications.

Looking at the images, it looks like Xiaomi is in no mood to change its design language. In fact, right from the Redmi Note 5, all the phones launched by Xiaomi have a similar design language with a vertical dual camera setup and rear-facing fingerprint scanner. Frankly, this makes Xiaomi devices boring as we have the same design for every phone from the company, no matter if it is a budget device or a high-end flagship. Anyways, the front isn’t different too as the 18:9 panel has thick bezels all around.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is going to be a huge phone with a big display, and as per the TENAA listing, it has a 6.9-inch TFT display with a resolution of FHD+, i.e., 2160×1080 pixels. Well, the phone looks more like a tablet than a normal smartphone with a big display. Also, Xiaomi is going to launch the Mi Pad 4 on June 25 with an 8-inch display, so it is weird that after the launch of Mi Pad 4, a 7-inch smartphone is also going to launch soon. The processor is an octa-core 1.8GHz chipset, the name of which is not yet confirmed. But, we expect it to be the Snapdragon 636.

Under the hood, there is a massive 5,400mAh battery, which is more than enough to last two days on normal use. Due to this big battery, the phone weighs around 221 grams and is 7.99mm thick. Android 8.1.0 Oreo is running out of the box with MIUI on top. Talking about the storage, there are three RAM variants – 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB along with three storage options – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. The storage is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

On the rear, there is a dual camera setup that includes a primary 12MP sensor and a secondary 8MP sensor. On the front, there is a 5MP camera for selfies. The rear camera can shoot 4K videos as well. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is coming in various color options including Black, Rose Gold, Gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray, and Silver.
